The pear trees experience several stages in a year—sprouting branches, growing leaves, blooming flowers, and bearing fruit—causing the environment to change throughout the year. Inspired by the shadows cast by nine existing pear trees, we proposed the "Pear Orchard Shadow Garden" concept.
This garden uses a grid framework system with small units to blend architecture and nature. It showcases the "Centennial Pear Orchard" in different seasons, offering exhibition and sales functions for fruits, fruit trees, and related handicrafts. The efficient grid system meets local villagers' needs. An elevated platform allows visitors to rest, enjoy views of the orchard village, learn about the orchard's history, and find the next "Pear Orchard Cottage" destination.
