In the urban transformation process, the combination of rivers and historical cities brings more possibilities and corresponding contradictions, which need to be taken seriously. Since the opening of Shanghai, the history of the city and the development of urban community space have been quite mixed and highly mobile. The shape of the space, resulting in a lot of space boundaries blurred or not rationally used at all needs to be dealt with and resolved. The design project will focus on these neglected remaining boundary spaces, aiming to reactivate the site a brand-new spatial system.
